The Reporter

JoeJoe Auditore

Portrayed by: Nathan

Short History

Born of Italian immigrants in Chicago, Guiseppe Auditore seemed destined never to make much of himself.  He loved baseball, and was one of Little Italy’s best pitchers when he was young, but as he got older his directionlessness and disdain for “real” work brought into contact with less than savory individuals.  His keen eye from being a pitcher brought him to the attention of “Big Jim” Colosimo, the owner of a large number of brothels who was moving into political machine work, and he became a reporter for what would become the Chicago Family.

His work wasn’t the most lucrative, but it was way better than being some mook.  Since his work was mainly focused on supplying the lay of the land versus actual crime, he never picked up any particular enemies on either side of the law. He came to town at the behest of his now deceased mother to help sort out some inheritance issue after the death of her sister, a professor at the university.  His aimlessness and discomfort over his friend John Torrio killing his mentor have kept him here.
